I've had my eye on this polish for a while, so I ordered it when I ordered my Hunger Games collection. And let me just say that this could easily be my new favorite.
"Swing Baby" is a soft gold foil polish. It has great coverage and an awesome formula. I only needed 2 coats for opacity.
I seriously cannot get over how much I love this manicure!
I also decided to do an accent nail with lepard print! Thought I could at least give it a shot. I used China Glaze "Prize Winning Mare" as the spot and used Finger Paints "Black Expressionism" for the outline. And I absolutely loved how it turned out. And it was super easy to do! All I used was a toothpick.
So I was back in Hot Topic the other day and figured I would pick up some more nail polish since it was only $1.99. I had my fiancé picked 2 out for me. He told me I needed something crazy like this. So why not.
The formula surprised me. It was a matte finish. I had only tried one matte polish before and was not a big fan of the application. It was kind of tricky. The polish was a bit streaky, so it took quite a few coats to get it to look right.
I did a top coat because the matte still didn't look right. I also chose to do an accent nail with Warpaint's "White Noise". Which after I took photos I put it over the rest of my nails.

I couldn't decide on which Hunger Games polish to start with so I asked my fiancé to chose for me.
This bright copper/orange is so beautiful in the bottle! It has a foil finish to it. In the sun it shines so bright and is so pretty! It isn't a color I would typically pick out for myself, but I am glad I purchased it! I find myself staring at it a lot.
The formula wasn't as good as I would have hoped for. It was a weird consistency, but I made it work. Definitely wasn't the worst formula I have ever used.
It is pretty safe to say that I am quite obsessed with The Hunger Games. I read all 3 books in less than a week. And all I can say is that if you have not read them, you need to give them a chance.
Anyways, when I found out that China Glaze was coming out with a Hunger Games Collection I just about freaked out and knew I had to get every single one.
After seeing swatches on other blogs from the collection I narrowed my choices down to 6. I purchased Smoke and Ashes, Agro, Harvest Moon, Luxe and Lush, Riveting, and Fast Track.
I love the range of colors in this collection and I cannot wait to try them all!
Another color to come from the 4-piece Spring 2012 mini set.
"Tour de Finance" is a bright pink with blue shimmer in it. I typically do not care for pink on my fingers, it's usually a color a prefer to keep on my toes, but I cannot stop staring at this one! The shimmer in it makes it different and very shiny!
The formula for this one was great! I loved it the most out of the 3 I have used. I only needed 2 coats for opacity.

4-piece mini set from Amazon for $10.95.
I went to Hot Topic the other day to pick up my Mockingjay pin from The Hunger Games (which I cannot explain how excited I am) and they had a bunch of nail polish out. No matter where I go, I generally stop to look at the nail polish. Just a habit.
While I was looking the associate told me they were only $1.99! So of course that is a great excuse to buy some! I bought two and this was the first one I looked it.
In the bottle it shifts between blue and purple. It doesn't do a whole lot of shifting once I put it on, but it is still a bright beautiful blue!
The polish is a blue based jelly with blue, purple and teal microglitter.
Application was great! I used 3 coats for opacity. I was expecting it to not be so good, but it went on perfectly. I only wish the bristles on the brush were a little bit longer. Other than that I was pleasantly surprised.
There are only a few colors left online, but they had a bunch in the store. I plan on going back soon!
Warpaint Beauty is now on clearance for $1.99 at Hot Topic.
I know I have already done a post with this polish, but I wanted to see how it looked without layering it over black.
It took me 4 coats to get opacity. A little much in my opinion, but well worth it.
The color in this polish shifts from blue to purple to sometimes green and is packed with microglitter. It's a really soft color and I have never seen anything like it.
